Responsible play
Browser games are built to be quick, which is exactly what makes them easy to keep playing. "One more round" is the whole design. These are the habits we stick to while testing.
Decide the end before you start
Short rounds hide how much time has passed. Setting a timer, or deciding on a number of rounds in advance, turns stopping into a plan rather than a surprise.
Keep purchases optional
Everything we list is playable without paying. If you buy a cosmetic item, set the amount beforehand and keep it in line with what you would spend on any other hobby.
Signs worth noticing
- Opening a game automatically whenever you sit down, without deciding to.
- Sleep, work or study slipping to make room for rounds.
- Feeling tense or irritable when you cannot play.
- Playing longer than you told yourself you would, repeatedly.
Taking a break
A few days away is the quickest way to tell whether you actually enjoy a game or just have the habit. Mentioning it to someone you trust helps more than people expect. If the pattern does not shift, a local health service or a national support line for behavioural dependency is the right next step.
Under 18
This site is for adults. Parental controls in browsers, consoles and app stores are worth configuring before handing a device to a younger player.
